Attitude

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.

My Awesome Future Job!

So... if you don't know, .... you will learn!!!!

I am currently working my way through school to be an Archaeologist in the Mediterranean. But for now I am doing this internship with the Hiawatha National Forest Service, and let me say... LEGIT! I love it so much!

Every week I head down to Escanaba to go to the Forest Service and learn about different aspects and ideologies behind Archaeology/Anthropology. My mentor is named Eric and he is by far the most legit dude ever. I mean who else just can throw a paper ball and miss a standing 6+ foot tall dude and hit the small 5 foot chick sitting down next to him when you are literally 2 feet away??? Eric does. But its all good,... we never let him live it down... EVER! It is awesome. Every week we sit down and just talk about anything we want (as long as it is related) and we learn so much that words cant even begin to express.....

Well, this week we went out into the field and did some exploring. Here is some pics that I took:

This is Eric and John,.... My mentor and peer. (I'm in the pit!)

(The Pit)

See? I told you.. HUGE!

Well folks, that is it for now! I'll def keep you updated!!!!

Much love and LUST! <3 XOXO

Labels: Friends

My friends are what get me through the day, week, month, year and so on. They understand me as I understand them. We succeed and fall down together.

These friends here are my rock. They are supportive, awesome, and not afraid to tell me how it is. I love you Tommy, Ashley, and Chelsea.

I do love all of my friends like my family. Don't take me the wrong way if you were not in this post, it is not because you're no friend. These 3 people have been through the worst with me and we have gone through so much together. Everyone has those few friends whom they bear their whole being into, for me these 3 are my piggy bank. I give them my all and they do the same.

Although, if I had a wish about friends is that I wish everyone came with a label. Like: "This one is going to be there through the toughest times", "This one you wont talk to much but you click so well together", "This one you will only hang out when you're drunk, you wont have as much fun sober", most importantly: "This one considers themselves as your friend but will never have your back"........ But I guess that is the joy of life, the unexpected.

I will take all that I have because it is more than I could have ever imagined. I am so blessed to have all of you as friends.

My Brother, Alex, USMC

My brother Alex is serving in the Marines and is stationed out in Okinawa. He gets to come home in June to California, then maybe back out to Afghanistan in the fall. He is one of the bravest yet dorkiest people I know. And what a little shit too! My mom used to tell me that when I was learning how to walk he would come up behind me and shove me down. She would get so mad at him but would never punish him. Its okay mum, I understand. If my kid learned how to be a little brat like that,.... I'd be sooooo proud!

Anyway Al, thanks for being my big bro and for risking everything so that I can continue to live here in America and enjoy being a bigger badass than you.. ;)
